How do I split my screen on Zoom/computer/iPad?
When you want to see two things at the same time, using a split screen on your device is a great solution. If you only want to see one thing, use Command (⌘) + Tab to switch between open applications and ⌘ + ~ to switch between open windows of the same application. In Zoom When participating in a Zoom video conference, you can select the Side-by-side view when content is being shared. This will place the shared window to the left and the participants to the right with an adjustable sizing bar between them. Multiple Applications on a Computer You can resize windows in a number of ways. Catalina OS 10.15 or later, you can tile your window the right or left half of the screen by hovering over the green full-screen button to reveal more options. Prior to Catalina (and more features) There are several apps that provide more options for snapping windows. Both Magnet and Better Snap Tool offer control over automatic snap locations and sizes of windows. For example, this can be used to create a 1/4 screen ribbon for your Zoom window while keeping 3/4 of your screen for your browser. This example movie shows a window being automatically resized in various locations by dragging it either to the sides of the screen or to customized snap zones using Better Snap Tool. iPad On iOS 11 (but 13 adds more), iPads can multitask allowing for a side-by-side split or a slide over window. These are well documented and explained in this apple help article.

How do I hide the background in my video in Zoom (virtual backgrounds)?
If you'd rather not show what's behind you in your video, Zoom has a feature called virtual backgrounds. This does NOT require a greenscreen - it automagically detects the background and replaces it with an image/video of your choosing. Instructions below taken from Zoom's help article on Virtual Backgrounds. More information on the feature can be found there. Adding a virtual background on a Mac or Windows computer Sign in to the Zoom desktop client. Click your profile picture then click Settings. Select Virtual Background. Note: If you do not have the Virtual Background tab and you have enabled it on the web portal, sign out of the Zoom Desktop Client and sign in again. Click on an image to select the desired virtual background or add your own image by clicking + and choosing if you want to upload an image or a video. If prompted, click Download to download the package for virtual background without a green screen.

How do I use breakout rooms in Zoom as a host?
Breakout rooms allow you to divide Zoom participants into smaller groups. You can assign participants to breakout rooms randomly, manually, or in advance. In order to use Breakout Rooms in a meeting, you must first enable the breakout room for that meeting. Follow the following steps to enable breakout rooms for your meeting (step 1 below), then learn how to manage breakout rooms as a host in step 2. The following instructions are borrowed from Zoom's help articles on Breakout Rooms. You can find more details about breakout rooms here. Step 1 - Enabling breakout rooms for your Zoom meeting Enable Breakout Rooms as an End-User To enable the Breakout Room feature for your own use: Sign in to the Zoom web portal. Click Account Management > Settings . Navigate to the Breakout Room option on the Meetingtab and verify that the setting is enabled. If the setting is disabled, click the toggle to enable it. If a verification dialog displays, choose Turn On to verify the change. Note: If the option is grayed out, it has been locked at either the Group or Account level, and you will need to contact your Zoom administrator. (Optional) Click the checkbox to allow meeting hosts to pre-assign participants to breakout rooms. Step 2 -Managing Breakout rooms on a Mac or Windows computer Creating Breakout Rooms Note: As of Zoom Version 5.3.0, you can have participants choose their own breakout rooms.
