How do I choose a breakout room as a Zoom meeting participant?

This feature requires Zoom version 5.3.0 or greater. It must also be enabled by your meeting host. Contact the IT department for more details.

Step One:

Once your meeting host has opened the breakout rooms, you'll see a pop up prompt labeled "Join a breakout room" at the bottom of your screen above your meeting controls.
- If you don't see this menu, move your cursor to the bottom of your Zoom window and it will appear
Click this prompt.

Step Two:

A menu will pop up showing you the different breakout room choices.
Move your cursor over the breakout room you would like to join. A blue "join" button will appear.
Click the "join" button. You will now be moved into your chosen breakout room.
